OT: Is any hard disk brand better/worse than the others?

Personally, I have had problems with Maxtors, Seagates any model never 
unless the drive was older than 3 or 4 years ago in production mode 
24/7, IDE models. I had problems with the old 40GB scsi Seagate models, 
but I haven't got a problem with the newer ones.

I also prefer WD as well for home use.
