OT: Is any hard disk brand better/worse than the others?

3rd to it. a few years ago, my Maxtor died on me just days after the 3-
year warranty that I bought!

Still, I bought another Maxtor (still going for over 4 years now), 
because it was the cheapest among all brands, and I can't afford much...
