Okay, the above all worked. It was a tiny file for all that work. And 
it's last line is:

I'll now wait to pick up my new Acer notebook (dual-boot Ubuntu 8.04 / 
XP Home), I'll install piano and give it a try.

I have a feeling I'll end up getting CyberTuner anyway because of it's 
limitless customizable 'stretch tuning' capabilities.  I told the piano 
tuner that I'm taking over from that CyberTuner is 1200 bucks US and he 
didn't even flinch. He said it was 1800 bucks when he bought it and he 
was never sorry he did. Says it's a truly awesome app.
