Fire up Wireshark and see what's happening.  If it is a DNS issue, then 
an host file entry may fix the problem.  I'm using a VPN over Rogers, 
but in the other direction.  It connects my remote computer, usually at 
the office, to my home network.  I'm curious as to how this problem is 
occuring, as one would assume the correct host name should still work 
and any traffic for the office should not be going out onto the internet.
