UBUNTU VS KUBUNTU

The difference is one uses kde by default and the other gnome.  Nothing
prevents you from installing either, and then adding the packages for
the other as well.  The only difference is the default packages
installed.  Same sources and package archives for both (and xubuntu for
that matter).
