Well that depends.  It takes a lot to get decent bass out of something
small, and mp3 has no problem encoding bass.

As for decent, well a decent pair would be much better than a crappy
pair which is what is included.

mp3 isn't that bad actually, while a lot of cheap speakers/headphones
really are that bad.
