I will take a look for that article... Thanks for pointing it out...

I just installed Debian Etch RC2 to the laptop, and setup encrypted
partitions during the installation... Easy and straightforward... I
did a simple 3-partition scheme: unencrypted /boot, encrypted swap,
encrypted /

There is probably some performance penalty from using encryption...
but its not apparent (at least to me) during normal usage...
