We've had several reports that our USB-powered scope or waveform generator
do not work correctly and the problem turns out to be an underpowered USB
hub.

The conservative approach would be for the hub manufacturer to provide a
power supply of 500mA per port, but that's not usual.

We recommend an upgrade to a high-quality hub, and that seems to fix the
problems.
