ACM (Association for Computing Machinery), anyone member, or member of similar - how useful?

Just got a junk-mail to join ACM, and normally for past X number of
years, just trashed it,
but bored and waiting for dinner to be served, I read the mail,
and for a few dollars you get access to many books in their digital
library.
Anyone a member of ACM or something similar, and can comment on 
the true usefulness of it?
