Hi there,

I am learning Solaris10 X86 now and find some difference between Linux
and Solaris, however I don't know what's the major difference. So far
what I found include,

1. Looks like compiling source code on Solaris is not an easy job.
2. Some command syntax are different on Solaris.
3. run level scripts /etc/rc.d/rc.x has been migrated to svc on Solaris.
4. The way to setup network interfaces is different on Solaris.

Anything more? Did I miss some major difference?

Thanks,
Jeff
