apt-get install gcc-g++ fails because ++ is removed.

I did some checking up while I had a moment..

apt-get install  gcc-c\\+\\+
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
E: Couldn't find package gcc-c\+\

This works:
apt-get install  gcc-c\+\+

And with more testing, it seems that this problem has gone away
entirely.  Maybe I _was_ constantly typoing apt-get install gcc-g++
=(

Or maybe a recent update somehow fixed it?
