Well I doubt anyone looking at the card can tell if it requires 3.3V and
they can't tell by looking at the motherboard if it provides it either.
However if the packaging says it must have PCI2.2, well your board
certainly isn't, so the reason for requiring PCI2.2 may be why it
doesn't work.  Did you ever try the cards in any other machines?

I also haven't ever been to any of the meetings yet.  I am always busy
tuesday evenings, and they are usually downtown, which is a place I try
to avoid going. :)
