Well I did have a problem with Debian and FC-6, I don't recall what they  were 
but I set it aside since the SuSE setup went well. I'll get back to Debian, 
running on this machine,  and see if I get the same error.

  The python script is just doing something with '/' separators, adding or 
deleting them, I can't figure it out.
