Redhat taking a beating - stock opportunity here?

I humbly, but wholeheartedly disagree.
How does going for RedHat's "jugular" help the FLOSS community? They are the
#1 distro in corporate environments. They are the ones who spearheaded
Linux's adoption in the corporate space.

IF Oracle buys RedHat, what is that going to do for companies who bought it
to run mysql or some other Oracle competition? Are they gonna kill it like
PeopleSoft? Or do they just want to damage it enough to push their own
stack...

At any rate, I respect your opinion; and I respect the group, I won't argue
the point anymore.
