emailing myself

I was sure that I used to use _nail_ to email
myself the results of cronjobs

I haven't done it in years so maybe have misconfigured
something.

But is there any way to get around the dot or ^D ?
using nail

Or alternatively I'm not particularly in love with
nail and would be happy with any suggesteion that
actually work
