The movement of MSFT people *out* of the front lines is also likely to
have some 'mitigating effects.'

The people responsible for the evils of the "bad old days" are
retiring and such, and are no longer responsible for things.  Over
time, that does make it more difficult to pursue matters.

Oddly enough, this is completely standard behaviour for shells. This
is a roundabout way of saying `don't use combined chains of `&&'s and
`||'s unless you think Gödel's theorem is for sissies'.
