Maybe some of the people on this  list remember the 70's phrase "A friend
with weed is a friend indeed'. Anyone who can make sense of USB
interfacing is my friend indeed, so I'd vote for that topic. There are
probably EE's that would attend if they knew about it. (I could post a
notice to the IEEE membership if this took place).

I gave a talk a while ago on how to *avoid* the gruesome details of USB by
making the USB connection look like a serial port (using Tcl/Tk).

My enthusiasm for the details of USB is unvarnished self-interest, so the
other topics might be of more interest to the group.
