Pinging from a remote host

Hi all,
 By default, ping use the  local IP address as the source IP. This work
perfectly if you are fixing network problems between a local network and a
remote host. Sometime though, you may need to fix a network problem between
two remote hosts. The there a ping switch one can use to force ping to use a
remote address as a source IP address?
