Host how to

I did a search on google.com/linux/ and that mainly seems to have links to
a host as in a computer,   however there are commands such as dig, whois,
that may serve what you need.

not actually heard of host. have heard of hostname,  and xhost,  so
hostname could just be host in a different name.
