bring up tape drive

Dell tech support told me to unplug the data cable, power down the system
and then power up the server, hold eject button. I think it is ridiculous
because it is a web server, how can you expect any down time?

If software solution is not feasible, I might have to bring down the server.

Thx Len,

The eject button doesn't work?

If the tape is really jammed, perhaps it isn't possible to eject.
Perhaps the drive has to be opened by someone that knows what they are
doing to remove the tape from it.

I don't think you can do anything in software to force it back online.
