Very strange, and for the most part, I'm stumped.  As far as those empty folders
that take up space go, are permissions set to allow you to view the contents of
the folders that take up 222 MB?  Have you set options in fstab to mount with
correct permissions?

This is really my only thought on the problem; sorry I can't be anymore help.
