USB speakers with Linux: update

Ok, later tonight I will try "doing 'modprobe snd-usb-audio' then check 
/proc/asound/cards and
aplay -l," when I am back home and have the speakers connected and on.

Just now I checked to make sure that the 'audio' module isn't loaded, 
and it isn't.
