Hi Joseph,
It can definitely work. When CLUE was doing the 'CLUE Linux Centre' down on
Eastern Ave, Starnix hired two of the volunteers (one for web/perl dev and
one for Linux admin).
I think that it may be hard to find a company that will go along with the
idea but finding NPO/NGOs that are keen to try it out should be doable. Just
expect to get contacts and experience more than job offers, though.
