Some ISPs use other port numbers than 25, so that you can access the
server from off of their network.  For example, Rogers uses 587 and one
other, which I don't recall.  Others may use IMAP, which might not be
blocked by Sympatico (it's not by Rogers). Check with whoever runs the
server you want to use.  The options might even be listed in their FAQ.
