   I've been debating testing against Cygwin... My laptop came with a 
win2k license that I have never used so maybe I'll try but I will wait 
until I have tested the other major distributions on native POSIX-style 
OS' first.

   Thanks for the heads-up on CentOS, I am actually d/l'ing the latest 
version as I write this to test but it sounds like it should be a snap.
