Well assuming you are using the alsa driver (and if you are not,
switch now), there is usually a master volume slider (in alsamixer and
other proper alsa aware mixers), which I thought did all the speakers.
If it doesn't, you can always write a script that uses amixer to adjust
everything up and down at the same time.  amixer is very handy for
scripting or attaching to special keys on keyboards that have such keys.

Of course I setup the mixer on by sb live once properly, and then use
the volume control on the speakers when I want to change the total
volume.
