Rogers and Usenet

Most 'very large' ISPs like AOL Compuserve (wee, it's been 10+ years!) 
etc have always preferred the 'closed' discussion group model, usually 
using their own browser software. This is coming back as discussion 
forums imho.

But most usenet servers are open source and I think that they will be 
around for a while.
