Smart mail systems only ever send notices to an email address _once_
when you tell it on you are on vacation.

Smart people don't even use such a system, or at least make sure it
doesn't apply to any mailing lists they are on.

Do people in general even care most of the time if their emails go
unanswered for a few days?
