   I haven't used it (never had Windows on any of my computers), but
   I've heard that the Mandrake/Mandriva installation has a tool which
   will downsize a Windows partition (must be defragged first, I
   believe).

   I'd suggest Mandrake as an easy-to-install, easy to maintain distro
   for new users.
