Although I've never used Slackware, I have heard of swaret, which
appears to handle some package management tasks for it. At the very
least, it claims to do what it can to ensure that the required libraries
for packages that are installed through it are installed (going by its
page on sf.net). Any comments on how using it compares to package
management on other distros?
