[ot]: cygwin

this is 50% off topic but I have trouble installing cygwin (current) on 
a dual boot machine. The install hangs with the first installed item: 
'Checking MD5 for zlib-1.2.2-1'. Has anyone seen this problem ? Is it an 
ancient lib problem ? Has anyone installed cygwin under wine ?
