Linux and SmartPhones

Hi

do you know of some resources about Linux on Smart Phones? I am specifically 
curious about programming for NOKIA hardware (is Symbian OS the only 
alternative?).

What about Linux and sim cards?

What is the plan for Linux in this arena?

I appreciate any resource you can mention.
