Yes, as I've said before, do NOT use IE on Mac.  There are no security patches
for it, and it's already a year and half old (and only getting older).

I still find Safari snappier than Firefox, and it certainly looks
better (there are no
truly excellent themes for Firefox on OSX that I've seen).  But Firefox works
quite well enough.  :)
