Not if your work depends on Windows-only applications. I don't see 
anyone rushing to write Linux versions of my daily staples WindFarm 
(<http://resoft.co.uk/> -- windfarm CAD system) and Didger 
(<http://www.goldensoftware.com/> -- powerful mapping package). Both of 
these do benefit from having Cygwin on the same box for munging text 
output files.
