I may be wrong but didn't IBM only sell their Thinkpad line? I believe 
(though may be wrong) that they still build their own servers.

If I was in a crunch, of the choices available, I would probably go with 
HP/Compaq though IBM, if it is indeed still IBM, would be my first choice.
