getting IP address of router

try traceroute
suse1:~ # traceroute -m 1 garbage
traceroute to garbage (55.55.55.55), 1 hops max, 40 byte packets
1 192.168.1.1 0.405 ms 0.485 ms 0.411 ms
suse1:~ #
This gives me my routers dynamic ip (55.55.55.55)
I don't know why, and it does not appear to de documented in the
traceroute man page, but then I only skimmed though it.
