I prefer to read email when I think about it, not to have email
interrupt what I am doing.  That means I usually look at email when I
need a moment to think about a problem I am dealing with.

> append that to fstab ? or enter in terminal ?

swapon -a is in the terminal.  Saves having to reboot to do that.
