I am used to crossover cables being yellow.  At least that is what I
have seen most.  That or light grey, but yellow is more noticable.

Of course gig ethernet doesn't use crossover cables (it doesn't need
them, and don't work with them).  Many new switches can auto cross over
(for 10/100, for a gig switch it again has no valid meaning as a
concept).
