I have driven to Armstrong Ont. (start from Thunder Bay and go north for
 about 250 Km) on a few occasions.  The roads are mainly dirt, rocks
gravel, logs that fell off trucks and moose sh*t.  Lots of pot holes and
during the hot(?) summer months, so much dust, you have to drive with
the windows closed.  Other than that, it's just like a newly paved road.
 ;-)
