Mice are generally Logitech.

Keyboard is always an IBM Model-M or M2.

I intend to buy a usb adapter so I can use these keyboards on newer
systems, although I understand that some people have been making fair
duplicates.  They're asking $200++ for them, but when it comes time
for that, I'll pay.

I understand that Microsoft's original Sidewinder joystick rocked the
niche and are famous as the best ever made.  However, I also
understand that their later revisions were garbage in comparison. 
This is on my long list of toys to get.
