any suggestions for linux compatible laptop projector remote?

Hello All,

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on remotes for laptop
projectors that work easily with linux?  I'm not sure if "remote" is
the correct name, what I mean is the thing that forwards a pdf file
to the next page or bullet point standing away from the laptop.
