Sylpheed presents messages in MH form, where each folder is a
directory, each message is a numbered file in that directory, and,
"breaking" MH compatibility, there is some sort of binary index file
specific to Sylpheed.

You can ignore the binary file and treat the mail using any tools that
know how to manipulate MH mail stores.
