Any Recommendations for Linux Friendly Digital Still Camera?

I would highly recommend choosing camera of your choice and getting a
separate flash reader.
Cameras that I do like:

For portables:
Canon s400
Nikon Coolpix line

For good picture quality/control but not pro:
Canon G2 - G6
Olympus C5050 - 8080 (!not C5000 or C4000)
