This goes back to the question that has been floating around "What is the
purpose of TLUG?" What need would a TLUG IRC channel meet that is not being
met today by the plethora of channels that are already out there? If I wanted
help on Mandrake or Debian, for example, jumping on #tlug would not be the
first thing that came to mind. There are many distro specific channels right
now and some distro neutral channels so I think those needs are already being
met. The same goes for languages, databases, and various other tools.
