With the exception of the blackout in 2003, my DLink (model Dl - 704P) 
had been running
constantly for four years with out a crash, until I replaced it with a 
Linksys WRT54G (also
a solid performer) in January. Both of these models have definitely been 
of the 'set and
forget' variety.
