   So, I disabled the firewall, and no luck.  Really frustrating.  As
   previously mentioned, I will try to take home a bootable CD to see
   if it's just something with my OS config.

   As for tcpdump ('tcpdump -i eth0', I assume), I don't know enough
   about what the feedback says.
