Sympatico getting slow--my 2 cents

I have a bit different setup.  I have mail program
configured to use my ISP, but when I'm away from home,
I use a VPN to connect to my home network and set up
the routing so that the mail is sent via the VPN, home
network & cable modem, to the smtp server.  I also
have my own imap server at home.
