OT: 802.11b or Bluetooth access points in T.O.?

Hi,

I hope this is not too off-topic. I'm considering making a purchase of
laptop or handheld, but am wondering about wireless access points in
T.O.:

-Are there places with free wireless?
-If so, where, and what protocol (802.11b or bluetooth)?
-What are your experiences with wireless (connection, bandwidth, etc.)?

Thanks for any help or pointers on this subject!
