Simple (I hope) perl question

Hi all,

   If I have a link that calls a cgi script with values after a '?', how 
do I read in those values? For example, if I click the link:

http://localhost/cgi-bin/script.cgi?variable-name=1

How could I get 'script.cgi' to read the 'variable-name=1'?
