network card problem

When in doubt, 'reseat the boards'.

In computers we have millions of parts, but the old-fashioned simple
mechanical contacts mess you up most of the time. Grounding is often
mechanical, from computers to outboard motor magnetos.

Over a period of time, oxide will build up on contacts, so that connections
become intermittent. Problems in simple mechanical connections rarely have
the symptoms of simple electrical problems.

It doesn't take long to reseat boards; just do it.
